From well-established traders from Columbia Road and other markets, via specialist plant growers, florists, and innovative new businesses you will find an amazing selection of flowers, plants, house plants, bedding, grasses, succulents, speciality offers, bouquets and all aspects of horticultural loveliness.

Ailand

Aila is a local grower and horticulturalist from Chiswick. She sells low maintenance ground cover plants, shrubs, ferns, grasses and perennials as well as offering a garden design service too.

Andrew Barker

Andrew grows most of his stock of bedding plants and perennials within London, ensuring the lowest possible plant miles. He has been running market stalls in West London for more than 10 years and we are delighted that he is a regular trader at our market.

Aubrey’s Strawberries

Neil makes timber flower and vegetable containers of all shapes and sizes – from small ones for a handful of hyacinth bulbs to large ones used by serious vegetable growers.

Caketivate

Local baker and sugar craft artisan, Liana, creates delightfully intricate cakes, to keep you sated while browsing the market. Her charming designs are as delicious as they are beautiful. Her mini plant pot cupcakes and flowery edible treats bring a smile to all passers by.

Caley Brothers

These three siblings in Sussex grow fresh oyster mushrooms and create grow your own kits, trading under the name of their grandparents’ grocery delivery service from the 1960s. Caley Brothers are passionate about eating delicious, nutritious food and sell their kits in the hope of inspiring others to enjoy the plentiful benefits of fresh mushrooms, grown in a low tech and sustainable way on reused coffee grounds.

Chiswick House and Gardens

Chiswick House is only a 10 minute walk away from our market, with its beautiful 17th century Kitchen Garden, home to community and educational programmes. Meet Geraldine and her team, buy some of her Chiswick grown plants or some home grown produce, and visit Chiswick House afterwards!

Cultivate London

Fruit trees, bulbs, perennials and ornamental grasses are be on offer from Cultivate London, a horticultural charity that trains young apprentices, and creates and runs community gardens across west London. Based in the South Acton estate (“North Chiswick”!) they make a real difference to the communities of London.

Dahlia Beach

A Dahlia Beach is a beautifully curated collection of dahlia tubers and seeds, with exclusive videos, resources and advice on how to grow them. We also run a PYO Flower Farm in South Oxfordshire from August – October with workshops in growing and flower arranging. Ecoflowers

Description: Ecoblooms is a green company that grows and sells flowers and seedlings from March to November. We want to inspire our customers to take advantage of their spaces, regardless of size, to enjoy and grow flowers and vegetables. We use organic fertilizers, organic pest control and we try to mix our crops so as to avoid monoculture and soil depletion. We do all our business by bike and hope to inspire other flower-lovers to unlock the benefits of trading in the local economy. We look forward to seeing you at the market!

Finest Plants

This family run business sells a fantastic array of plants – with a great selection of shrubs, bedding plants and hanging baskets – all at great prices. Their bespoke Chiswick Flower Market planters are best sellers!

Florie Floral

After 10 years as a designed in the fashion industry, Rebecca, embarked on a new adventure, embracing her long time love for all things flowering. She began planting English country garden flowers and creating posies to share with friends and family. Experimenting with growing, drying and pressing flowers, whilst leaning on her design background, her floral journey began.From this Florie was born with the idea of sharing the natural magical beauty of each season. Based in London, Florie creates seasonal pretty hand tied bunches, beautiful wreaths and happy blooms to spread the flower love. Florie supports British flower farms and forage locally to create romantic and wild designs.

Florita

It takes approximately 50 hours to create each one of Kanita’s unique and beautiful pots, with a repeated process of drying and cementing. Painted with a gold or copper interior, they are intricately designed to a rustic finish. The pots have been sustainably upcycled and created with materials such as old towels and frayed teacloths, in a bid to reuse, recycle and reduce waste.

Form Plants

Form Plants is an award-winning Tree Nursery, an acre full of inspiration; Trees, Topiary, Hedging, Shrubs, Olives, Grasses and Ferns. We are based near Windsor, 30 minutes from West London. We specialise in providing quality specimens to provide structure and architecture to gardens.

Freckled Petal

Freckled Petal was created out of the need for connection both with people and with nature. During the winter lockdown, Evie started making dried flower wreaths and bouquets to gift to family. She noticed the joy flowers brought them and the direct impact this had in boosting their mental wellbeing – they never fail to make people smile! Now her London and Somerset based flower studio specialises in creating wild and whimsical floral design, with both dried and fresh bouquets and an events service too!

Green & Wild

Green & Wild are an Oxfordshire based independent houseplant specialist, bringing plants & people together is their passion. With a curated range of houseplants, air plants and more unusual plants, there is something for everyone to enhance your homes & work space with greenery. Green & Wild also specialise in Terrariums & Terrarium kits, with everything you need to create your own garden under glass at home.

Greenka

Katy and Aysha, two busy London mums, wanted to share their love of a plant filled life so much they started their own business in 2018 bringing plant joy to the masses! Greenka offers a glorious selection of plants, cacti and succulents alongside handmade macrame plant hangers and wall hangings.

Hampton Estate

The Hampton Estate have been growing hops in the Surrey hills for hundreds of years and their amazing decorative hop bines were a real hit at our first market!

Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants

Recognised as one of the UK’s leading plantsmen nurseries, Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants was founded in 1988. Rosy and Rob Hardy have 24 Chelsea Gold Medals and their “Frilly Knickers” anemone (winner of the HTA Virtual Plant Awards 2020) is much requested at the market.

Herboo

Henry set up this business in 2020 which sells a wide variety of seeds, as well as nature boxes for kids and it’s gone from strength to strength thanks to their ingenious products, beautiful packaging and creative ideas. They make perfect presents (not just for kids!)

In the Garden

This mother and daughter duo are immersed in creating interesting planting combinations. They create green scenes with indoor and outdoor plants combined with their garden brocante finds. You can also find Holly and Nikki on their weekly market stall on London’s Golborne Road and their plant shop in West Hampstead.

Isabella Florist

A family run business with 25 year experience brings a brilliant selection of fresh cut flowers. Come and meet Steve and Dean who are in the middle of our market each month.

Jacques Amand

For over 90 years, Jacques Amand has offered flowering bulbs of many varieties to discerning gardeners. The company began as a flower shop in the Strand when Jean Jacques Amand arrived from the Netherlands in 1927. Read the Chiswick Calendar profile for Jacques Amand here.

Kew Plantsman

The Kew Plantsman is an eclectic mail order nursery based in South West London and North West Norfolk. Specialising in the rare and unusual, they provide a range of plants, at very reasonable prices, during the period April-October. They have a small, but growing, selection of plant material from all corners of the globe; fireworks from the Americas, giants from Africa and jewels from Japan! These are tried and tested and many have the Award of Garden Merit.

Kokedama Drama

Kokedama are the cute balls of moss-covered houseplants your home’s been waiting for. Based on the Japanese tradition of ‘no pot’ planting, Kokedama are often referred to as ‘poor man’s bonsai’. We like to think they’re a bit more than that and offer a fun, tactile and unique style of houseplant. Whatever plant we use however, it’s the moss covering, bound with wire that sets the Kokedama apart. You can set them on a saucer or hang them from the ceiling – it’s your choice. And when they need watering, just pop them in a sink or bowl of water for a few minutes, drain off and that’s it!

LifeLike Flowers

Berta runs this independent Chiswick business which is at the cutting edge of 100% natural, everlasting preserved and dried flowers. From eucalyptus to gypsophila, Berta also sells a range of zero waste peonies and roses. This is the only stall at our market where you don’t need to water the flowers after you have bought them! Berta is as passionate as we are about sustainability – come and find out more!

Lily Matilda Flowers

This is arguably the best ‘3 for 1’ at the market! Lily brings bunches of seasonal flowers and potted outdoor and indoor plants, Briony adds her handmade pottery range including vases and botanical bowls and Laura provides handbound garden-inspired notebooks with garden quotes and botanical inspired pages and bindings.

London House Plants

Come and meet the legendary Vicky who runs London House Plants and whose stall is a solid fixture at the market. There is always a bargain to be had and a huge range of plants, from mini succulents to enormous palms.

London Terrariums

London Terrariums was born in 2014 out of a passion for gardening but not having a garden in London. The so-called renaissance of Houseplants was just about to take off but we had no idea at the time by how much. We started LT out of our love of Terrariums and the joy we felt when teaching other people how to make these miniature gardens. Ironically it has all been a very organic growth process. We are now based from our store in New Cross and host regular workshops and well-being events teaching people how to make these miniature ecosystems.

Loveday Blooms

Loveday Blooms is a micro flower farm in West London, offering seasonal flowers with sustainability at its core. Run by Clare & Jon, two passionate flower growers, proud to be part of a growing group of farmer/florists offering British grown flowers. Grown on a 60sqm plot in peat free compost, all our flowers are Herbicide & Pesticide free.

Made in Hanwell

Louise recently started her online business which sells beautiful, hand made or hand painted concrete plant pots in zingy colours and geometric designs. You’ll need several of these to compliment your new house plant purchases!

Michele Ferriday Flowers

Michele’s offering of home grown plants and seasonal cut flowers are beautifully accessorised with a selection of beautiful pots, jugs, vases, jute bags and cards. It’s a one stop shop for all things horticultural and they make wonderful gifts.

This lovely family business located in South West London are passionate about food, healthy eating and the environment. They are committed to producing fresh quality products at affordable prices.

Midrib Plants

Midrib offers an eclectic collection of house plants, alongside hand-made grow your own kits, provisions for indoor gardening and a programme of botanical workshops. They are Reading’s first and only independent plant store.

Nicola the Gardener Pots & Plants

Nicola bring us a stunning selection of intage pots, unusual pots and handmade outdoor pots together with seasonal plants for the garden, window box or balcony.

Pepperpot Nursery

Petits Jardins

Petits Jardins was started by three musicians who found themselves looking at a bleak future with no work in the wake of the Corona virus. They quickly turned their passion for plants (particularly alpines) into a creative venture. Botanical sculptures (bromelias mounted on logs) sit next to air plants on handmade plinths and lovingly recycled palette boxes, all with wonderful names like Inebriated Orchids, Tower of Flowers, Coco-stands, Bromelogs and Vegan Trophys.

Plant Couture

Plant Couture raise all their plants from seed or from cuttings in their greenhouse with no sprays used and their own compost which is a mixture of leaf mould, peat-free compost and grit or perlite. Having decided to turn their passion into a business, Plant Couture propagate plants, creating compositions. All plant compositions can be personalised, something that makes them extra special.

Plant Maniax

Andrea hand makes elegant, wooden plant stands and pots for all your planting needs. All of her designs are customizable and if you can’t find what you’re looking for she will make them exactly as you require. As she says, “when life gives you plants, make a jungle!”

PlantBe Studios

Pot Pourri

Dominic’s flair and enthusiasm for flowers has kept Chiswick smiling for many years! You’ll be able to choose cut flowers or some of his incredible bouquets, with London grown flowers a key theme at his stall.

Pyramus Plants

James is another well-established Columbia Road trader. He sells an abundance of cut flowers, bringing a touch of traditional beauty to the market. James uses metal buckets wherever possible to prolong the life span of his blooms and uses recycled craft paper and string instead of single use plastic wrappings.

Rocketcrops

Lindsey and Babs are passionate about food, nature, wellbeing and community and created Rocketcrops in order to provide their local West London community with delicious, super nutritious microgreens. With their handcrafted Organic Microgreen Grow Kits they are empowering others to grow their own food in a healthy, sustainable and fun way.

Rose Lily Flowers

Joe Brown and his team are regulars at the market and bring a huge range of beautiful and very affordable cut flowers from which you can create beautiful bouquets.

Steve Burridge

Steve is a market trader who’s been selling flowers all his life, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather who started the family business in 1926. With a family stall in Columbia Road, Steve grows all his plants in Hertfordshire. Read the Chiswick Calendar profile for Steve.

Stevens of Sibsey

This family run business, established in 1929, hail from Lincolnshire, and have been growing plants, flowers and bulbs for nearly a century! They run markets and farmers markets across the UK. George now runs all of the London Farmers Markets and he is the fourth generation of the family business. Stevens have a passion to supply the best quality products with the best customer service possible. They endeavour to make their displays amazing and beautiful to showcase their quality products and to ensure that each purchase is a memorable experience.

The Flower Hut

With a wealth of retail experience as a head buyer in fashion for years, Helen has started up her own business selling flowers. Her hand tied bouquets of seasonal flowers make beautiful gifts, for somebody else or for yourself.

Tilly Makes

Local macrame artist Tilly is passionate about all things sustainable & recycled. Her Boho-chic inspired designs are perfect for adding greenery to your indoor spaces & work environments. Tilly will be selling macrame plant hangers, fruit & vegetable produce hangers, DIY hanging kits, pots and gift sets.

Urban Tropicana

A small, family run business from West London specialising in, and leading the way, in tropical house plants. Let Lewis and co. help inspire you and turn your home into a living jungle. Urban Farm-It

Some more fun-guys! Starting life in a shed in Kent, Urban Farm-It is now blooming, like it’s grow your own mushrooms kits and aquaponic systems. Elliot, “a mad grower and teacher of alternative agriculture” wanted to find a solution to the gap between commercial farming technology and home live production and is passionate about the positive shift in culture around food production.

Wheelers

Walk across the road to explore our fabulous local shops and visit Wheelers’ stall. Brothers Spencer and Jason run the stall, as well as the flower stall by the tube and the garden centre on Turnham Green Terrace.

Wilde Jasmine Flowers

Floral designers living their love for plants and flowers of all shapes and sizes! Wilde Jasmine specialise in cacti, succulents and house plants with gorgeous wreaths and bouquets of fresh flowers.
